What Our Clients Say

Jess really came through for me this year at a time where I certainly needed it most. I was lucky to be presented with the opportunity to be coached by her in regards to each dimension of my personal wellness.

To start off, 2025 has been quite a busy year for me. I became a first-time home owner! As we all know, there is so much work that comes with that. The tendency to put yourself on the back burner is common during such times. With all the excitement, I became entirely unaware that I fell out of touch with my personal wellness for a bit and this formed a minor setback for me.

To provide some background: In the past I have attended traditional psychological therapy on two occasions during my lifetime. I also coordinated with a psychiatrist as well during these visits. I personally struggle with ADHD, anxiety, and occasional depression. I gave my best efforts with hopes to repair myself and dedicated a lot of time and energy into this process.

In the end, I unfortunately ended up feeling like a number lost amongst the Healthcare system. I did not see a remedy to my struggles and felt like I returned and left each appointment broken every time. I found western medicine/psychotherapy to be ineffective.

This may not ring true for others. But I believe that I hold the key to setting myself off on the right track as well as, balancing the inner dimensions of my personal wellness. I may be stubborn, but I am a firm believer in "if you want something done right, do it yourself".

Instead, I now seek and favor integrative or alternative methods for a more personalized, holistic, or direct approach.

This is where Jess comes into the story:
I was fortunate to participate in a new approach to helping other people like myself manage their personal wellness. The beacon that shined during a time when I unknowingly needed it most was Jess.

Rather than be treated like a patient with a number at the deli counter, Jess helped me identify root causes instead of focusing on perpetuating symptoms. She helped me strengthen the power to regain control over the things that I struggle with on a regular basis.

The process:
It was very easy to converse with Jess. We communicated via email and text which is preferred because it felt more personal to me. Jess answers quickly and does not put any pressure on me to conform. Her positive encouragement is contagious from the start.

There was an initial in depth screening where I focused on each dimension of wellness: Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Social, Spiritual, Occupational (or Vocational), Financial, and Environmental. Questions I have never before been asked by any doctor. I was immediately intrigued because this approach put me in control of what I planned to bring to the table during our meetings.

From there we began our sessions. Jess made sure that I was comfortable, free to speak about whatever I liked, and emphasized that our discussions were entirely confidential. Her approach is different than what we understand seeking help to be. The approach is personalized coaching. This is the change that we need to see because it brings better focus onto the individual seeking help. It is an extra boost of professional guidance that allowed me to feel in control and empowered for the first time in a while.

We met once or twice a month. Immediately getting into the present moment of what I had been feeling. I didn't bring up my past (which has been somewhat rocky). There was no pressure to diagnose what may have caused me to feel the way I was. We focused on what I wanted to feel. Later I was able to explain my past, with a new perspective being that it does not define me. Jess encouraged me every step of the way. We unpacked feelings and discussed goals in a safe and comfortable manner. I quickly felt myself regain my footing and grounded back into a healthy rhythm. I even went so far as so journal along the way because I was feeling immediate results. Each visit I felt excited to share what I had accomplished since the last. When I didn't meet a certain goal I had identified, there was focus on reasons as to why and I was then equipped with tools and resources to armor my resilience and get back out there to work towards them.

The takeaway:
I find venting with the right people helps foster a constructive environment for me to look inward. The people I turn to are commonly friends and loved ones. It is a great thing to have a strong support system, but these people are not our personal wellness coaches. It can weigh heavy to dump everything on the ones closest to us. It may make them feel obligated to help. Some people may not have a safe place or connection to facilitate proper balance of their dimensions of wellness.

Meeting with Jess as my personal coach improved my relations with others because she provides me with a professional environment to unpack everything. Wellness coaching is proactive, future-focused habit building, offers accountability, action plans, and strength-based support for lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, stress etc.). I would even go so far as to say that if traditional psychological therapy is for you, pairing this with wellness coaching may strengthen you more and boost you farther down the road toward peace, clarity, and full dimensional wellness.

I am thankful because I know feel more in control of my life. Each visit felt like I was recalibrating my inner compass. I am able to engage with my support system of loved ones without the stress of having to vent my problems onto them. I am able to enjoy my life more effectively and embrace the time I spend with loved ones. Confidently reassuring them that I am well because of the time I have taken to trust Jess and allow her process to benefit me far beyond what I could have imagined.
